Our Road Trip...

I have the most wonderful husband.  He is smart and caring.  And handsome, oh so handsome!
I am proud of my husband.  He has a dream job he has dreamed about for years.
I have heard about this job for years.
(Sometimes I want to scream because he talks about ALOT.)
This past fall, a job within this state agency opened up with 11 openings in Texas.
We were excited, Brad was excited.
He applied for this job in November and we waited.
He got a phone call in December and a phone interview a week later.
Then, we waited; again.
Another phone call came.  He recieved an in-person interview.
I'm so proud of him.  He may get to work at his dream job.
Last week, we went for the interview.  (Emma got to stay at Papi and JoJo's house.)

I had to take pictures.  This could be a life-changing move.  It had to be documented.
This was a barn on the way to the interview.  By the way, Brad and I love A&M.

Yes, we pulled over on the side of road just to take the pictures.

This is probably the coolest barn I have ever seen!

Our hotel room.  It was amazing!

About to go and tour the town!

Before he went to the interview.  Doesn't he look so handsome?

I had to let him have an adult beverage after his interview.  He needed to destress!
And now, we wait again.
God only knows what will be in store for our little family in the next
couple of months.  But, on the way home, we decided to let go and let God.

THE Preview.....

This weekend I had the honor of taking my cousin, Maggie, and future cousin-in-law, Steve's engagement pictures.  I had a blast traveling to McPherson, KS and here is one photo as a preview to their other amazing pictures!
I hope you enjoy!

Big Green Tractor!

During the Christmas break, JoJo had a birthday cake to make for a family friend of ours.  The request was to have a cake with a John Deere theme.  I was home around the time she had to do it, so I offered my help.  I suggested that she should cut the cake out into the shape of a tractor (just to see what would happen).  We had so much fun doing this cake together!  We will probably do it again someday.  Or go into business with her and do cakes and cookies up in White Deer.  Who knows.  But I just know I was extremely proud of the job we did together!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Cutter!!

And this is what time we finished....btw....that would be AM and not PM....lol

We had a very good time making this cake for a very sweet boy and I am in the hopes of making more cakes in the future!  I do have Emma's and Ouisa's here in about 4 weeks.....so you can come back and check it out then!

Hope you have an awesome day!

the "CAKE" incident

Christmas was a BLAST with the Olson bunch this year!  Santa was a big hit too!  We all got to watch those big blue eyes light up with excitement and that was the best thing on Christmas day!  Here are a few pics from our day there!

Cooking lunch with Aunt Brookie...

Eating with Big O...

Reading The Grinch with JoJo before seeing Santa gifts!

Oh!  We saw Santa gifts!

And now we are "running" to get to the gifts!

Look what I got!

And now, for the cake incident.  JoJo thought it would be fun to put Emma next to the red velvet cake to see (she knew...)  what would happen.

Oh, what is this?  She thinks it needs fixing.

See?  Right there?  That needs fixing!

Well, no napkins...she will just have to lick her fingers....

And then Mommy said no more....and THIS is what happened.....

Isn't she the most adorable thing you have ever seen?  Mommy's Sweet Angel....
